Rumour
"Roo" is a sound
young bitch with a beautifully sculptured head and deep brown eyes.
Her pigment is excellent. She also has full definition and a perfect
scissors bite. Her face and expression are beautiful and have been commented
on by many judges. Her other outstanding features are her long, arched
neck & neck-fit, with well laid-back shoulders and her beautiful
outline. "Roo" has a lovely front with moderate forechest and straight
front legs, with small, tight feet. She has good length and return of
upper arm, a solid topline, long ribcage and short loin. She also has
very nice depth of body and ribspring. Her tailset and carriage are
correct. "Roo's" coat is what I'd call a light medium color, with profuse
cream-colored feathering. In coat, her tail hangs 14" and her pants
cover her hocks. "Roo's" movement is smooth and balanced with
good side-gait, her down and back are clean and she converges. She shows
with the flash and enthusiasm of all her littermates, thanks to her
mom and dad. Her temperament is wonderful. She is neither dog, food,
or toy aggressive. A smart bitch, full of flash and drive, she's
a bit more than is good for her! At home she's, well... a golden retriever,
as warm and cuddly as they all are. As you can probably tell, "Roo"
is my favorite dog. She was my red-collared girl, and stole my heart
from the minute she was born. "Roo" began her
field career rather unexpectedly at 10 weeks, when she slipped her lead
and flew into the water (for the first time) after a bumper I was throwing
for a dog in our training group. We all stood watching as she swam 20
yds to retrieve the mark! (after which she received an ovation). "Roo"
is trained through Juniors and and has begun her Senior training.
